Convert Images to PDF on iPhone in Seconds

You've got a photo of a receipt, a screenshot of a form, or a JPEG of a signed document — and you need to send it as a PDF. On desktop this is straightforward. On iPhone, most people give up and just send the image file. Here's the faster way.

Why PDF over image?

PDF files are universally accepted by email clients, government portals, insurance companies, and HR departments. Images get rejected. PDFs can also be password-protected, combined with other files, and signed with an e-signature — images can't.

Method 1: Using the Files app (built-in, limited)

iOS has a basic built-in image-to-PDF option buried in the Files app:

1. Open the Files app and find your image
2. Long-press the file and tap Create PDF
3. A PDF appears in the same folder

This works for a single image. It doesn't let you combine multiple images, adjust page size, add margins, or compress the output. For anything beyond a quick one-off, use a dedicated app.
