Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the Scanniq iOS application ("App") operated by Scanniq ("we", "us", or "our"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the App, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age, have read and understood these Terms, and agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

2. License to Use

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms.

You may not:

• Copy, modify, or distribute the App or any of its content
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any regulations
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the App or its related systems
• Use the App to scan or store content that infringes on any third party's intellectual property rights

3. Subscriptions and Payments

Free Tier

The App is free to download. The free plan includes up to 3 document scans, up to 3 exports (share, print, or copy/export actions), and watermarked PDFs. Core PDF editing tools are available on the free plan.

Scanniq Pro

• Scanniq Pro is offered as a monthly subscription, annual subscription, or one-time lifetime purchase.
• Pro unlocks unlimited scans and exports, watermark-free PDFs, unrestricted copy/export of OCR text, and access to Pro-only tools: password protection, PDF unlock, merge PDFs, and split PDF.
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Lifetime access is a one-time purchase and does not renew.
• You can manage and cancel subscriptions at any time in your iPhone Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
• No refunds are provided for unused portions of a subscription period, except as required by applicable law.

Price Changes

We reserve the right to change subscription prices. You will be notified of any price changes in advance, and continued use of the subscription after the change takes effect constitutes your acceptance of the new price.

4. Your Content

You retain all ownership rights to the documents you scan and store using the App. We do not claim any ownership over your content.

You are solely responsible for the content you scan and store. You agree not to use the App to store or distribute content that is illegal, harmful, or infringes on the rights of others.

5. iCloud and Data

The App uses Apple's iCloud and CloudKit services to sync your documents. Your documents are stored in your personal iCloud account. We do not have access to your documents. Apple's iCloud Terms and Conditions apply to your use of iCloud storage.

You are responsible for maintaining adequate iCloud storage for your documents. We are not responsible for any data loss resulting from iCloud service interruptions or insufficient storage.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or loss of goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the App.

Our total liability to you for any claims arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App or subscription in the twelve months preceding the claim.

8. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, graphics, logos, and software, is owned by us and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not use our trademarks or branding without our prior written consent.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.

You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your device.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which we operate, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the effective date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App after the changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
